As sure a sign of Spring in Washington as the
Cherry Blossoms...

20090305sh

...forearm "discomfort" for Shawn Hill, and a date with Dr. James Andrews tomorrow.

"Obviously, I feel bad for the kid, because he has gone through it for a while now. Hopefully, he will come back with good news from Dr. Andrews." (Manny Acta, via Nationals dot com, 3/5/2009)

Don't count on it, Manny. And to think, just a little over a month ago the first "Shawn Hill is feeling good" story of 2009 emerged on Groundhog Day.

It's like Loverro said:

It was as if no one actually wanted to speak his name this spring, fearing that doing so would somehow lead to arm problems.

Well, it turns out simply thinking his name would lead to arm problems, too.

Hope for the best, Nationals fans, but expect reality. Damn.
