Z-NN!
Maybe the most encouraging nugget from Thomas Boswell's article in today's WaPo online discussing the respective states of the Nationals and Orioles came near the end:
By mid-season, the Nats' rotation could include any five from this list: Strasburg, John Lannan, Hernandez , Olsen, Marquis, Luis Atilano, Craig Stammen or prospect Ross Detwiler, who'll start his minor-league season in two weeks. By Aug. 1, look for Wang.
However, the best news is that Jordan Zimmermann, the Nats' only top-of-the-rotation prospect except Strasburg, hit 94 mph in two recent extended spring training games.
"We won't rush him," Kasten said. "But he's going to make it back. That's big for us."

Big, Stan? Big? Z-NN hitting 94 on the gun now? If Jordan Zimmermann makes it back by September with the Nats still in the hunt for the playoffs after a fairytale summer...if...if..okay, we'll stop now.
But the thought of Strasburg and Zimmermann as a 1-2 combo has us feeling a bit giddy. Even if we'll have to wait until 2011 because of Strasburg's innings limit...
Meanwhile...
June 8, a.k.a. Strasmas, is pretty much a sellout, or so Stan tells the Bog. Wonder if they'll make those ~400 $5 seats available before the game like usual?
Versus will air Baseball Jesus's final AAA start live tomorrow at 1PM. MASN will have it on tape delay at 7.
