Rockies 2, Nationals 0: It's a young man's game. Old Man Livan Hernandez outdueled by Young Man Ubaldo Jimenez.
It took 17 innings, but Livo finally gave up a run. Then another. 2 mistakes, really.
Come on, you didn't really expect more than a run or two anyway with both Zim and Ham on the bench, did you? Especially considering Ubaldo?
Old friend Joe Beimel thought about coughing one up just for old times sake, but worked out of an eighth inning jam instead.
Admit it: You'd be praising Nyjer Morgan's hockey mentality if that ill-fated bunt attempt in the 8th hadn't popped up to Beimel.

Look, we're trying to be positive: not in a million years did we think this team would be playing .500 baseball 16 games into the season. The iron is, indeed, hot. But the thought of losing Ryan Zimmerman for any extended period of time (and why do we get the feeling there's a trip to the 15 day DL in his immediate future?) is just killing the positive vibes.
