(Photo of TV by Nationals Enquirer staff. Nyjer Morgan is a Golden State Warriors fan? Yes: there's Mr. Plush captured in a screen grab from WRC-TV NBC4 sitting courtside at last night's Wizards-Warriors game at the Verizon Center, decked out in Warriors gear.)
A mostly quiet day yesterday for the Nationals, huh? Off days are like that sometimes.
But a couple of notable news items popped up late in the day...
Most importantly: Nyjer Morgan is a Golden State Warriors fan. See photo above.
Also notable: One game in and the Nationals are thinking about pulling the plug on the Willie & Willy RF platoon?
According to Bill Ladson over at Nationals.com: The Nationals are considering installing Mike Morse in right. "Seriously":
The Nationals are seriously thinking about starting Mike Morse in right field Wednesday night against Phillies left-hander Cole Hamels. If that's the case, the Willie Harris/Willy Taveras platoon could be over.
The organization is expected to be in meetings Wednesday afternoon and will make a decision on the right-handed-hitting Morse at that time.

And so, just one game into the 2010 season, the Willie/Willy RF platoon is about to go the way of the ill-fated Kip Wells/Julian Tavarez closer by committee of 2009 and the Nook Logan/Ryan Langerhans CF platoon of 2007? Good news!
