"Tonight, those guys that got into those situations [Ronnie Belliard and Austin Kearns], they've been struggling all year. So that was kind of convenient for them. The main thing is, we've got to take a step back and revisit the hitting approach we're having."

Peter Angelos must be loving this!
Orioles 6, Nationals 3: DFA Ronnie Belliard and Austin Kearns, immediately.
Meanwhile...
Stammen to the bullpen. Really?
And what's with the Nyjer Morgan talk? Didn't the Nats learn their lesson with Nook Logan? Isn't Morgan pretty much Nook Logan minus the HGH? But then, there's this, too, from Bill Ladson's blog:
The Nationals have been unhappy with their outfielders for quite some time. They have come to the come to the conclusion that Adam Dunn and Josh Willingham belong in the American League as designated hitters and Elijah Dukes makes too many mental mistakes.
Unhappy? Really? Dunn and Willingham are defensive liabilities!? Adam Dunn belongs in the AL as a DH? No shit!? Willingham stinks? Hey, thanks Jimbo!
Just think, there were some idiots around NatsTown clamoring for Milton Bradley this past offseason. He would've fit right in around here! Manny thinks he's got it bad with Dukes and his "mental mistakes": But can you imagine him trying to deal with Milton Bradley on a day-to-day basis?
2009 Battle of the Beltwayzzzzzz ends today. Nats can do no better than 2-4.
