(A rare, limited edition duct-tap Strasburger jersey spotted on Strasmas at Nationals Park, soon to be making its way to E-Bay? Photo by Nationals Enquirer staff.)
We're still trying to find the right adjective to describe what we witnessed in person last night at Nationals Park. We gave it a shot last night, but we're not sure "phenomenal" or simply "wow" even does it justice. We'll keep trying.
In the meantime, we'll share a photo above of a rare, duct tape Strasburger shirt among the thousands of Strasburg shirts in attendance last night. And another homemade shirt below, a #37 Travis Hughes Nationals jersey (remember him!?) converted to "Strasburg" with paper and safety pins:
Riding home on Metro last night, a few people claimed they saw Strasburg hit 101 on the Nationals Park radar gun. We saw 100, not 101, and definitely not 103. By this afternoon, we're sure the stories of Strasburg hitting 105 and turning water into beer and saving a kitten stuck in one of the Nationals Park cherry blossom trees will be making the rounds.
Unbelievable.

Do they carry those Strasburger tape jerseys in the team store?
