(AP Photo/Gene J. Puskar. Nyjer Morgan hits the wall Saturday night in Pittsburgh. It seems every time you look up, the Nats are mired in a 4-or-5 game losing streak.)
"Nobody is going to settle in. I'm always been very into that mode of thinking that you're bringing up. You can never let people feel too comfortable."

Latest losing streak ends at four!
Nats 5, PirAAAtes 3: Nice, tidy, and rare. And if not for Josh Willingham, they'd be staring down the potential ignominy of a sweep at the hands of the gutted Pirates tomorrow.
Andrew McCutchen 11, Nats 6: Stammen stunk; McCutchen went crazy (3 HR). Everyone knows Lastings Milledge isn't a CF; looks like he might not be a LF, either...
Meanwhile...

Good news: Even though his teammates hate him, injury and meltdown permitting, Elijah Dukes will be given the bulk of the playing time in RF the rest of the season. Essentially, it's a two month audition to see if he still fits with the long term
planPlan. We're pulling for him. Hey, speaking of auditions, Mike Rizzo has T minus two weeks and counting to sign Strasburg. Then again, maybe it's Stan Kasten running the negotiations with Boras? How are things going, anyway? -
More good news: Via Bill Ladson (All Nats All the Time), Jordan Zimmerman "felt good" after a bullpen session on Saturday. His sore elbow is on track for a rehab start with Potomac on Tuesday. *gulp*.

Daniel Cabrera, who has been collecting paychecks from the Nationals since his release at the end of May, may be double-dipping soon. According to AZ Central dot com, the D-backs are
smoking cracktalking to Danny (who worked out for the club in the DR on Saturday), and are close to a deal. Anonymous sources with no knowledge of the situation confirmed that Jim Bowden is not working for the Diamondbacks.
