The Bronx Bummers.

(AP Photo. That makes 16 of 19 for the Nats, but who's counting?)

"In his defense, he's not a natural center fielder. Those balls were hit pretty good. Would I want him to catch every one of them? Yes. But he did make an effort."
(Manny Teflon Acta, via Washington Times, 6/17/2009)

Yankees 5, Anderson Hernandez 3: They had it, then they lost it. Villone coughs it up in the seventh, assisted by Dukes' adventures in CF.

But remember, like Manny said, Elijah's not a natural center fielder (just like that Lastings guy?)!

You can't like your chances when Anderson Hernandez is providing the offensive firepower.

That Martis left with a lead after six against that lineup (5 walks, 106 pitches/53 balls) is a minor miracle.

Teflon Manny lives to fight stand there another day.

Boz asks, then answers the question: Why haven't the Nationals fired Manny Acta yet?

Wait: Sammy Sosa was on the Juice?
