"That's the playboy stache!"
(Tony Plush, via MASN postgame, 7/1/2010)
By our unofficial count, tonight's 2-1 win by the Nationals over the Mets marks the first time Nyjer Morgan has earned the rights to the Silver Fox. Which is sad, considering the silver wig was his brainchild. Most nights, we're left complaining about Nyjer messing something up somewhere with the glove or on the basepaths, but more recently he seems to be helping more than hurting. Here's hoping Nyjer -- or is that Tony Plush? -- keeps it up.
This much we know: Nyjer's postgame interview on MASN was both entertaining and confusing, AND he coined a new nickname for Johnny Holliday: "Disco". AND broke out a nickname for Johnny Holliday he's been using for a while: "Disco". We stand corrected.

Nyjer has been calling Johnny "DISCO" since last season.

Well, G, guess we haven't paid close enough attention then. First time we noticed.

Yeah he's always called him Disco since coming over.

Gah! Too many damn nicknames to keep track of. We humbly retract the part where we said it was a new nickname for Johnny. Still an entertaining and sometimes weird interview, regardless...
